On July 4, it was reported that Russia recorded the maximum increase in mortality from coronavirus since the beginning of the pandemic. Over the week, the number of deaths increased by 4643. The previous maximum was 3921 cases.

In Russia, for several days in a row, more than 700 deaths from coronavirus have been recorded per day - on July 9, the operational headquarters reported 726 deaths. In total, 141,501 patients have died in the country since the beginning of the pandemic.
